Origin Story
Founder Casey Ariel started Blaze Group in December 2020, after spending a decade structuring multi-billion dollar loans for large tech corporations - but never once serving alongside another Black woman on deal teams or having the opportunity to deploy capital to Black-owned businesses. After being inspired by brilliant community organizers and innovators she marched alongside in Oakland during the U.S. racial justice protests of 2020, Casey left corporate to decolonize pathways to economic success.
Blaze Group is advancing the financial industry into greater inclusion through world-class, culturally responsive education, consulting, research, and technology.
